Visit San Diego For Camping Adventures
When considering California as a vacation destination, one word springs to mind; expensive. San Diego camping is an affordable option for families to enjoy the splendor and not break the bank. If you are picturing rugged campsites, un-bathed children and rustic accommodations, you are not thinking modern enough! Modern San Diego camping is generally done at surrounding camp sites that provide bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and sometimes even pools and Jacuzzis. The sunny San Diego area is ideal to visit any time of the year. The climate stays temperate all year long so planning the trip around your schedule is simple; there isn’t an off-season for camping here. From the campground, you can do any number of activities.
Outside of San Diego is a wealth of natural wonders. To get a smattering of different natural elements in one place, you can try the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, the largest state park in California. The park showcases mountain vistas, canyons, desert backdrops, cactus-filled expanses under deep blue skies and miles of trails for both hiking and horseback riding. Trails take you through all of the interesting geological features of the park and give you a glimpse of the flora and fauna that make this park a favorite with locals. The park is also a great place for the budding archeologist as the badlands throughout exhibit interesting fossils and hint that the park wasn’t always a desert.
